Ice fishing regs.

I moved to Vancouver last year and was an avide and active ice fisherman in Western NY and Southern Ontario Canada before moving here. My problem is that I can't seem to find any information regarding ice fishing in Washington. I realize that the Eastern part of the state has ice fishing, but nothing is even mentioned about it in the fishing regulations. Am I looking in the wrong place for information?

You are looking in the right place but there's nothing specfic as far as ice fishing goes. Statewide freshwater rules do apply. If the lake is open and there's safe ice you can fish it. You have to check the dates that the lakes are opened. For instance, Rat Lake in Okanogan Co is opened Dec 1 until Mar 31 and is a great place for ice fishing. Fish lake in Chelan Co. is a year round lake and is also a very good. Banks Lake is open year round and and fishes great for Perch at the boat basin in Coulee City. Just pay attention to the open dates and you'll be fine.

Use the search feature here at WaLakes to find additional info in the forums about ice fishing. It's a well used forum when the water gets hard. Your main targets here, WA. are trout and perch. Yes, there is some walleye and others, tough to be consistent though and definitely not mentioned much.
