A Fallen Brother

Hey folks

I'm not a guy to preach and I rarely express myself if humor is not involved.
But on a serious note,I and many others lost a friend recently while doing his job, saving lives and protecting property.
I thought I'd just put this out there if anyone wants to pay their respects and/or donate stuffed animals to your local fire department(for sick/injured kids)ANY FIRE DEPARTMENT. Religious or not,I ask you to be thinking/praying for his family.
I could share some stories but at this time,I just don't have the energy.
I could say alot more but my creative writing is out the window but I'll thank you for your time.

Thank you
Kevin

Thank you racfish,it means alot.
I should thank all civil service members, military and anyone else with the common good.
I first started this thread not thinking anyone would respond, more as a formal announcement. But I most sincerely enjoy the feedback.

Are you going to the funeral? I couldn't make it with obligations at home and on shift, but keep your eyes peeled, there is a charter bus with SFD personnel including color guard members en route to pay their respects. I think we are sending 10-15 or so.

Almost lost one of our own here, 3rd alarm fire, broke ribs in a fall, tension pneumothorax.

Been a rough year. Stay safe.

This year has been rough. I just heard about the helicopter crash down in California.
We look forward to meeting to your crew.
Best wishes.

I saw the van. I probably met some of them but their were so many other departments there. It was mind boggling but good.
Ended up seeing buddies from all over that I hadn't spoken with in awhile.
Heres a few photos I took.

I hate seeing black and purple on an engine.

Our most sincere appreciation for his service, from Spokane Engine 3, on duty C shift.

:salut: man my deepest respects to you and your men. i wish i could have been there. awsome photos.

i was in the tow business for a short period we had a driver killed on the job, we were shocked at the turn out. we had a 1 1/2 mile line of tow trucks and even more cars. it was a " roller coaster day" to say the least.i know its not the same thing but it helps to share. he was a good friend.

my best to you and your. and all the prayes we can send your way. god speed.

Thank you vhm
Tow truck drivers have a dangerous job. These guys are always picking up the autos while having to dodge other cars.
