Just a combo of my good fishing buddy not being able to fish, working from the house almost 7 days a week and family stuff. I sneak out and hit the lake for a few hours when i can. Winter steelhead is my big draw. Work slows down to a few days a week, stuff i can do on the weekends so i can fish the week days!!

About the corkie comment. Yes pinks will bite just about everything pink, and almost anything that wobbles or twitches thru the water. But I have used other things and hands down pink jigs will outfish anything. If pink isnt working a white squid with a pink head will. And watching a dozen fish all trying to hit your lure is fun!

The best thing about humpy season, a lot more elbow room upriver. The worst part all the people that show up and trash the place and consider themselves sole owners of the river even though they only show up every other august/September. Does wa lakes do a litter clean up on the sky/snohomish?

Go to Bartells or Wally World and buy pink nail polish enamel. I paint my older tarnished spoons pink. It works just fine.

This could be fun, I'll take you up on that if I can pick the day/time/location... [tongue]
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I bought a bunch of 3/8th oz. bulk jigheads from Cabela's for like $3 and just dip them in pro-tec paint and add a soft plastic squid or hoochie. They look good enough to eat and they were only about 25 cents to make!

They are coming. They caught some by Sekiu

Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
