What line works best with baitcaster reels and helps reduce backlashes?

The line ain't gonna do much to help any backlashing. That's all the users fault. Sorry bro.

As to what line works best?
Unfortunately every fishermen is going to give a different answer.

To help us out, what kinda fishing you doing with the baitcaster?

Maybe with some ideas as to what your target fish are and maybe even what kinda rod you got it seated on, we could help you out a little more....

How will you be targeting them? Levelwind reels fishing off Downriggers in the salt or doing some fishing in the rivers, and if so, what kind?

I'll be targeting them off the shore in the sound. My reel always backlashes. I think the problem is that two much line is on one side of the reel and it doesn't come off smoothly.

It's almost like a bass reel.
