I bought this rod for the lakes mainly I needed something shorter to get under these trees ( we do not have this issue in Nevada) haha but I was looking at recomendations for a reel for this rod?
right now I have these bait caster reels abu black max on my sons rod I like the ease of use of these reels
and another abu 5600 ext I use on my salt rod I like this one also I will put it to use again tomorrow...
also another good combo for a reel and rod I am looking at the Shimano rods as they have a lifetime warranty no questions asked and the way things go in my house my son breaks more then he fixes.
cost is an issue I am Cheap!!!!!! I do not want to spend over 200 on a reel unless it will reel the fish in for me fillet and cook them then I may go for it. but any help will work.....

ebay is your friend. if you are a savvy ebayer, you can get new or near new reels for a fraction of retail price
