home made live wells, etc?

I am needing a live well for bass. I am aware that some people have made them from ice chests with aerators. Can someone who has one like this point out what they think is the best size cooler to use. Goal of course is to really keep the fish during a tournament, happy and healthy. I have coolers that are HUGE... those big white ones you see. This is overkill for sure, but not sure really what size I should use. (How many gallons of water is the question I suppose)

What about this sort of thing...? If you found one in the right size, it would seem to be the closest thing to keeping the fish in their original habitat.
If I go with an ice chest,, can you also recommend which particular aerator to look for or any other accesories needed?

If you are going to go with the ice chest - I see em all the time at Goodwill for like $5.

you can use a simple fish tank air pump with a stone if you have 120 on the boat or also they have them with batteries I may have an extra here at the house if you want to try it out. maybe cheaper at walmart rather than using the gas to pick up a 5 dollar air pump.you can drill a hole and silicon it after the hose is in or drill a hole on the lid and that way you can remove it when ever you want with out having to waterproof the hose.
