Long Lake (Lake Spokane) mapping project

Post by tbrinks » Wed Aug 27, 2014 6:31 pm

If you fish Long Lake (Lake Spokane) you know maps are few and far between. Actually I have never seen one in person. The Spokane Bass Club had an event on Long Lake on August 9th where we had five boats logging sonar for a few hours. The results are in, here are a few screen shots of the lake with standard charts and then before and after our event.

The process is simple and the more time you spend at it, the more detail you will get on your map. Within about a week the map will be updated on the Navionics WebApp for free for anyone to use. I wanted to share this if you are interested in seeing the map and learning about the process. This link will show you how to do it on various units. http://www.navionics.com/en/plotter-tutorial" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There were many other changes but I thought this one was pretty cool.
