odd hook

Post by MrMagoo » Sun Aug 17, 2008 7:11 pm

A number of years ago, I had picked up some BuzzBombs, and some special hooks that I've been using every since with them. I'm running out, can't find them anywhere, and am wondering if anybody knows what they are and where to find them.

They are perfect for single barbless use with a BuzzBomb. The special feature is that they have a closed eye at right angles to the shank, so with a snell knot, the eye lies flat against the bumper. I've attached a photo for reference.

sorry I cannot be any help Ive never seen a hook like that.
thats a great Idea to snell your hook because the not will not get bashed up especially because I always lose those rubber things.
I will try that with treble hooks

Use a siwash hook. Those will stand flat against the bumper.

For the rubber bumper, in case you lose yours, go to an auto supply place and buy thick-walled rubber tubing. Slice it with a razor blade, and bingo... you've got rubber bumpers.
