Pink Buzz bombs and Pink Jigs

Post by Toni » Wed Aug 19, 2009 10:16 pm

I was in Orting, Work-Sports and Outdoors, today and bought a couple of bombs and interesting jigs. These pink buzz bomb (or look alike) were $1.49 and sold as bulk without a bumper and hook. Perfect for me. Then there were these very interesting glittery curly tailed pink jigs for $1.99.

Thought I would let you know if you need any thing pink.

I have used beads before but I had a package of the bumpers. The jig wasn't so impressive once I saw it in the water.
I got a pink today at dash point but not on a buzz bomb. 1 dungie and 4 red rock too.

That's one more pink than I had today. Good going Toni! It was so rough out on the water today. I swear there were some 5' waves out there. Tough fishing! I'm looking forward to standing on the Skagit River shoreline in the morning. No waves!!!

Your wearing your wifes fingernail polish again Mike. #-o I thought you got over that.

Nice pick up on the look-a-likes Toni. I still don't get why they don't sell buzzbombs with a single hook instead of the treble. Waste of a hook to me.

It wasn't color. Just apparent lack of tail action.
There was a guy and his wife out there today that caught several salmon. They couldn't find any pink buzz bombs so they got one with the green stripe and painted one side with pink nail polish. Like I said they caught several salmon. It works.

I also think they should package them with single hooks. A lady and boys were fishing and they had a treble hook so I told them about and gave them a hook. They didn't know because of the packaging and lack of reg. knowledge.

I think everyone, including the WDFW, would be very surprised to know how many people fish trebles with their buzzbombs.
I think buzzbomb should make a "Northwest Special" with a single barbless hook setup. Or tackle stores and suppliers in Washington should only sell gear that adhears to our specific regulations.

OK then what is a pink then if it isn't a single fish:-"

Was at the old Watering hole yesterday or was it the day before.... I was ordering the heavy stuff... oops sorry wrong story. The other day I was down at the pier.... Edmonds that is. And some guy and his 3 buddies were casting jigs. I noticed that one had a trebble with all barbs pointed. I grabbed my gun and killed them... opps thats what I wanted to do. I grabbed my pliers and pinched them... nope thats what I was going to do. He said De tocar mi equipo de morir. I decided that meant I was toast and didn't like the option. I told the guy hey dude "No triplicar ganchos en agua salada" He looked at me like I had lost it and then said "I don't speak that bleep" Turns to his buddies and they started talking in spanish.

Thank god my spanish was really rusty... But I swore No triplicar ganchos en agua salada meant No trebble hooks in salt water.

Which reminds me to the other guy... cangrejos actualmente se encuentra cerrado en la zona nueve... I really hope that means crabbing is currently closed in area nine.... Otherwise I'm still toast.

So, my personal enterperator says:

"De tocar mi equipo de morir" Makes no sense, but the idea is "you touch my equipment you die"

"No triplicar ganchos en agua salada" is right on, "No triple hooks in salt water"

"cangrejos actualmente se encuentra cerrado en la zona nueve" is correct as well "currently crab is closed in zone 9" though crab has different names in different regions (like jaiba - pronounced "hyba")
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
