Do the same as you normally do.... just wear LOTS of layers of clothing. Tie a rope around the pier and another to you for those windy days when you don't want to fly out to sea.
Today I didn't pay total attention to my own advice - I went out and lasted all of maybe 30 minutes before my hands froze event with the gloves on. Didn't see any bait. Barely any birds and the wind was cold.

It's cold...so just fish the tides ..hour before high water till hour after and low water slack. Buzz bombs 4" blue stripe pink stripe or green stripe regular width. Black/gray at night or when water is colored....Use thin baits when the candle fish are running. Works for me. Good Luck, BTW.... Bobbers and herring are a killer setup also put bobber 6 to 10 feet till bobber stop and no weight on herring; if the herring won't sink try 1/4 oz weight..... Stay warm, Steve

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.
