Formed by a dam on Dry Creek, 239 acre Agate Reservoir is located about three miles east and slightly south of White City. Only non-motorized boats are legal to pursue Agate's largemouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie, bluegills and brown bullheads. At least one jumbo channel catfish has been pulled from Agate. This lake fishes
quite well in the fall when there is a large temperature
differential between morning and afternoon temperatues. It seems that the warmwater fish gradually move shallow as the surface waters become the warmest water in the lake and the fishing can be spectacular. The yellow perch seem to have negatively impacted the bluegill and crappie populations.
