A reservoir of 1,840 acres located about seven miles east of Cottage Grove. Row River Road goes along the north side of the reservoir and Government Road along the south side. Dorena has rainbow and cutthroat trout as well as largemouth bass and brown bullheads. A few black crappies and bluegills are also taken and all of the fish species present reach good size. Unfortunately, in the last couple of years, yellow perch have become established in Dorena and they will almost certainly impact the other fish species. In western Oregon, yellow perch almost always out-compete crappies reducing their average size and numbers. P Heley
