271 acre lake on the west side of lake Chelan, hike in from Lucerne. Holds rainbow and cutthroat. Has cabins to rent as well as boats. At 2,181 feet of elevation, this 271-acre lake contains both rainbow and cutthroat trout. The lake is accessed by Trail 1280 (3 miles) from Lucerne, with a net gain of approximately 1,000 feet, or by amphibious plane from Chelan (20 minutes, per one of its passengers).

According to Sid (who lives and rents boats on the lake), the lake was barren when discovered; however, it was planted with native Lake Chelan cutthroat and a steelhead strain. It has been since planted with rainbows. Both the Lake Chelan Cutthroat and the rainbows are self-sustaining. The lake is deep (90 feet, per Sid) and clear. The shoals are narrow; maybe five to ten feet on average, with sharp drop offs. Light penetration and vegetation is about 20 feet down or more because of the clarity of the water. Mike MacGregor
