Decided to hit lake desire after work right by my house which is not even 1 mile away. Took my float tube out there and was on the water by 7pm. Worked the right side of the shoreline for about 30 min with no bites. Paddled my float tube to the east side of the lake while the sun was going down. Was throwing a 4" senko T-rig and finally got "tap, tap" but missed it. Just as I was paddling back towards the launch I stopped and switched up to a 5" senko (watermelon w/gold flakes). I decided to dead stick my last cast right next to some lilly pads. While reeling in my slack felt my rod load up so I set the hook and my line just took off sideways to deeper water. I was like %$^#% this is a pig. She put up a good fight even tried to head back in to the lilly pads but just kicked my fins so my float tube would pull her back out. Landed her and she was a good 20" in length.
