Another slow day on Tapps. Headed back to the south side of Tapps island where I had a follow the week before from a nice sized bass, started 2 docks away from where I had seen it and on about the 2nd cast I found him. About 2lbs, and a good start to the day. Things got better when we headed into a short dead end canal nearby. We had gotten several hits there the week before. Told the wife it looked good for muskie and sure enough about 2 casts later she caught a 28" tiger. I caught several more bass but nothing to take pictures of. On a side note the local golfers were not happy as we came back out from the canal and under the fairway of their course, they were making snide comments about our being there and saying that signs should be posted for boats to keep out. I have one thing to say to them, PISS OFF, it's a PUBLIC LAKE! Legaly they have no leg to stand on! Shouldn't have built their course over a public lake if they didn't want their game interupted. Boats have the right of way. If I get hassled again out there I will take it up with the state.

No stupid outfits, but they seem to think that because they pay 20K a year in dues to live and golf on Tapps Island that they own the lake too. Sorry but that aint the way it works.

I say we all get are bass boats and go fish the canal at once. I have had issues with them also in the past.

Those who can't fish, Golf. Those who golf should learn how to fish. I wish I lived closer to Tapps. I would like to give the tigers a try and I would certainly make that canal a usual stop. Happy fishing

Well I guess we will see how they like the tiger muskie tournament scheduled out there for Sept. 12th. Many of those short shallow canals near the golf course are perfect areas for the muskie.

Not to push the issue or anyone's buttons, but Tapp sIsland IS a public course...and reasonably priced too. Silly outfits, are mandatory though. ;)

I have yet to fish Tapps, but have golfed it a few times. I used to be on the other side of the fence with this issue, not all of us golfers are jerks. I would argue some of the outfits fisherman/women wear is pretty "loud" as well.
