trolled various cranks 10-24 ft divers in 12 to 50 foot of water till it was dark. As expected lots of squawfish (thank you, free crab bait) and one nice brown trout. It was in the neighborhood of 20 inches. A little skinny. We were marking lots of fish deeper than we were trolling. might need to go out with some lead core or even divers. didn't pick up any fish casting to the shallows. We've been hearing the fish are staying deep. We'll keep at it if nothing else to catch bait for the yearly crab trip. normally we pick up nice bass trolling this time of year. There was a great spawn this year. Lots of fry in the lake, it's made fall fishing a little different than normal.
