After our rousing success at Hutchinson we decided to give Herman a shot. Fished around the shoreline of most of the lake with no takes,except for one small trout that my dad caught on a bluefox panfish spinner jig. When lunch time came around we decided to troll using pop gear and wedding rings while we ate. I caught one trout before I could get my first bite of sandwich and we caught 4 more trout in about another hour of trolling. All trout were cookie cutter 10" stockers and were released.Again we saw no fish in the shallows, so I am thinking water temps are still a bit cold.We traveled over 200 miles to enjoy each others' company, eat some really good ham and cheese sandwiches and hand dipped Dove chocolate cookies, and catch some fiesty little trouts.
