Hit the lake at 7am and fished until about noon. Weather was wild but the fishing was goodt. Most of the action was early in the morning but things picked up again after 10:30 or so. Caught fish deep, shallow, and every place in between. Jigs and plastics did well for fish that needed to be hit on top of the head to trigger a strike. But the larger fish seemed to be on the move and feeding pretty heavy. All of the fat moms came on very large unconventional lures. A friend from work was out on the lake too so I asked him to snap a pic of this girl for me before I turned her loose...thanks GB. Anyway, water temps were from 55.1 to 57.8. Caught 7 fish under 2lbs and 4 over 3lbs. Small males are starting to hold on or near beds. Won't be long now.
