Our goal was to catch a tiger but we were unable to. We had one blow up on a top water but that was it. It was still too dark to see what size it was but the splash definitely made my daughter jump when it just barely missed her bait. I gave the morning a three only because my daughter nailed a nice 5 lb large mouth a few minutes after we started, otherwise we caught 3 dink large mouth and had several hits from other little guys. So a slow morning but one real nice bucket mouth and time spent with my daughter which actually rates a 5 my scale. The air temp was 45 when we launched so it appears fall is just around the corner.

That's a nice largemouth bass! I was fishing that same morning at Silver Lake's fishing dock (at the northwest corner) near the boat launch from 5:15 to 7:15 AM, and only caught a 6" Black Crappie and a 6" Largemouth Bass on a 1/4-oz. chrome Kastmaster slab jig. In that time, four boats launched nearby for points unknown....

We were already on the water ,launched at around 0545, in the blue and tan crestliner
