Now that the hunting season has passed I decided to get back out there and test my luck at Beaver Lake. Showed up around 7:30am, only 1 other guy on shore with me, rained all day. Zero action till about 1:00pm, tried everything; worms, PE (various colors and combinations), powerbait dough, marshmallows, all on a barrel weight and swivel with a 2ft leader and nothing haha, not a single bite or sign of life in the water. Then around 1:00pm a beautiful 13” trout jumped clear out of the water twice 10 FT away from the shore! Unfortunately nothing followed. Then around 4:40pm another one jumped right next to my lines clear out of the water, but nothing followed again. For the last hour of light there was no sign of life on the water. There is at least 1 fish left in that lake, might go back next weekend.

if the fish are jumping they want something moving or a fly. Hope you have better luck next time bud!
