We dug ghost shrimp for bait on my dads beach then, when the tide was high enough about 5, we rowed his boat out to his usual spot, anchored and dropped our handlines in. We were out there for about 2 hours and didn't catch much. We caught a lot of dogfish, like usual, but my son caught the only sole, and that was kind of small, I normally wouldn't have kept it but my son really wanted to so I let him. My dad has been fishing this way since before I was born and it used to work pretty well, but we haven't had much luck lately (maybe it's time I find a new spot).
