Sat, 8/31
Arrived at 6:45am with the bank lined with anglers at low tide. It was dead. No fish jumping, nadda. Didn't see anyone catch any fish or anyone on boats catching fish the entire time. Left at 8:30am disappointed.

Mon, 9/2
Arrived at 6:45am with tide about half way down and wow, there were multiple schools of pink passing through. I was giddy with delight and rushed to get my gear in the water. The schools of fish were huge - largest I've seen this season. For the next hour, it was non-stop waves of schools. There were soo many fish, I could feel my line crossing fish a couple of times. Action died at 8am and I left 30 mins later to head upriver behind BECU hoping the schools would pass through. Arrived at the new spot with 2 people already fishing. It was clearly dead and I left 30 minutes later with 2 less jigs lost on logs in the water. Ended the morning 2 for 6.

Tues, 9/3
Arrived at 7am with the tide about 1/4th down and wow, same as yesterday, there were waves of fish passing through. Surprisingly though, there were only a few people fishing. This morning, it was different as I was thinking non-stop action, however, the fish weren't biting. I casted my jigs directly into the passing waves and nada. I heard that fish close their mouths and stop eating once they enter fresh water... but I don't understand the conditions because I had alot more success yesterday. Maybe it's the rain as it's been raining all morning? Anyway, I was losing hope until about 40 minutes later, bam, finally hook one on a pink squid jig. Afterwards, I switched up my colors to pink/purple and red/black marabou jig without success. Looked at the time and had to leave for work soon. Switched to a green marabou jig and casted a couple of times. On my last cast, bam, another bite. Brought it to shore, and left the river at 8am with schools still passing through (at a slower pace though). Ended the morning 2 for 2.
