Made it out again this morning with a buddy and we expected easy limits after my luck yesterday. Today was tough tho. Spend many hours trolling my usual spots but there just were not any fish. Moved down to the forks and trolled up from there and nothing. By then my buddy was having a hard time staying awake so I dropped him off and headed back up to my spots to give it a last troll. I just could not stomach having my first skunk day since starting trolling. Made a couple more passes and nothing. By now im starting to get tired but as soon as I convinced myself to give up I saw a silver slab launch out of the water farther up river along some wood. I convinced myself to go give it a try up there. Pulled up and put my plug out and started to troll upriver along the snags. I did not even make it 20ft before my pole just bends over with a fish on. Drifted down and scooped it up and decided to call it a day with a little 8lb silver in the box. I hope more fish move in tomorrow because I used up all my patience today. Good luck.

Glad you didn't get skunked! Has the Skagit been pretty good for Coho?

Good job man. Atleast you stuck it out and got a fish in the box. I was all over that river today and didn't get anything. Will have to try again soon.

Yea the skagit has been treating me pritty good since I figured out about trolling. 21 silvers have hit the boat in the last 7 or 8 outings.
