Started fishing late on Saturday out in front of Two Rivers. Fishing was pretty slow. About 10 AM we headed to Split Rock hoping to find some fish. Not much there either. Finished the day back in front of Two Rivers with some success. We ended up with about 8 fish for the day and kept 3.

Sunday we headed to Sterling Point. What a difference time of day and location make. Fishing was fast and the fish were surprisingly big. of the 11 fish we kept, two were 20", 2 @ 19", 2 @ 17" and the rest 14 - 15, and we only kept those because they couldn't be released safely.

Trolling speed was pretty consistent at 2.8 mph. A number of lures were hot. A perch Frisky Jenny fly accounted for one of the 20" hens, Rippin minnows were very consistent, and orange Rapalas did very well. A muddler minnow tipped with a Pautzkes cured corn did very well also.

We ended the day across from Lincoln watching about 6 big horn sheep. Great end to a great weekend.

Nice batch of fish. We usually fish the area at Sterling Point and it is usually pretty good to us, If not its just a short trip down to White Stone for some more good areas to fish. I think right now the fishing would be good almost every where down there. And as the weather gets cooler it will just get better. once again tight lines to all----TERRY

Just remember everyone you cant release fish where you used lures or flys that were baited or have scent on them. I don't like to see anyone get in trouble. Just a FYI. I assume all the ones that were released were caught on the rippen minnows lol...Good fishing
