Got to go on my first Salmon fishing trip on Sept. 16-18th. Only got to fish 1 day however as other weekend plans got in the way but had an awesome time regardless.

Got out on the water Saturday the 17th at about 7:30 in the morning. Not sure of the exact location on the water we were at because I'm quite new to this area. Boy are the boat launches quite the "goat rope" but they work. Just a rocky riverbed with a few boulders to dodge. Lol. Anyway, the first fish was the smallest. Got her around 9:30. Second one came in at about noon, which was my big one for the day, solid 18lbs. I believe the last, one caught by the girlfriend, was around 3 in the afternoon. We had 2 bites that never stayed on the hook, lost one at the boat, and lost one after about a 2 minute fight.

All in all, it was an awesome first trip and I cannot wait to do it again! Cooked some of that salmon up last week and my lord is it delicious.
