Started the morning out early with the alarm going off at 2am, got up pack my lunch and loaded the captain stuff and mine. We left at 245 to the boat ramp, I'm thinking on the way there how crazy we are for leaving this early but as we were at the gas station we saw a couple boats doing the same and a few more that went by us. Boat in the water and off we go, we had lines in the water by 4. Our first fish came around 9am and one in the fish box. It's always nice to get that first one so there isn't to much pressure on the boat. So from 9 to about 2 we must have hooked every dog fish in the ocean, at lease that's what it felt like. We are down to 1 pack of herring left, with 3 of us on the boat that put us in the bottom if the 9 inning with high hopes. About 215pm my rod goes off fish on, 285ft the fight is on for about 20mins we were equally matched. I eventually landed him and off for the ramp we went.
