Just had 3 great days, Friday, Saturday, Monday, fishing for Blackmouth in MA8-2 and MA9.

Covered a lot of miles but well worth the effort, Possession Bar, Hatt Island, Elger Bay and Greenbank.

Friday: I was fishing solo, water was rough in the am and couldn't get to Possession. Bumped my way out to Elger Bay. Made one pass and had a fish in the box. How often does that happen??!!! Old Goat OG2 green/black did the trick.

Saturday:We got to Possession Bar just at high slack tide. Fished Bait Box area. One keeper, one almost keeper and one nice wild fish in a couple hours. Friend Katie Steiger caught her first Blackmouth which is always exciting. Wasn't a monster but it was more than big enough! Wind came up and we called it a day. Old Goat OG2 green/black did the trick again.

Monday:What a circus. Hatt Isl, Elger Bay and Greenbank. See Paul Lewis' (FastAction GS) NWFR report for the long version. The short version is we caught a bunch of really nice fish! The hot setups were the Old Goats as usual (until the seals stole them all) and the keepers were caught on Greenbank using FlashyFish lures from Steve Davis, X1 for Salmon and Big Scale Super Mint.

Tuesday: I'm in serious recovery mode.

The really ugly pic is a native that filled the big net!!! Dang nice fish.

Just a heads up, the seals at the Port of Everett launch are real aggressive and not a dang bit afraid so dont lay your fish on the dock.
