Well my two daughters, my two grand children and my son in law drove up to Mineral lake for a day of fishing. It did not disappoint us. The weather was in the upper 70's with a gentle breeze and light clouds. As you may know by now the resort changed hands like a year and a half ago and prices have gone up on everything! I reserved a pontoon boat a few days in advance and I was shocked to find out thay sold off all of their row boats and discontinued the dock fishing.
Moving on, we hit the water about a quarter after 8:00am. First thing we headed north and set anchor on the west side of the lake. Within 15min
my daughter April hooked into a nice stocked rainbow, It gave her a good fight as it wraped itself around the anchor rope. It almost broke off but she was able to recover and bring it on the boat. The rest of the day was fun, I caught two nice fish and my grand daughter caught two beautiful
rainbows. All in all we had a great day of fishing.
