We started around 10am launching just to find out that the steering was frozen. The steering wheel wouldn’t turn at all. My son got it working so we were able to launch.
Went out a way from the launch to set up rods to troll. Within 10 minutes I got one trout. That was all for about 2 hours. Tried to troll back through the area but didn’t see any. I caught it on the longlined with 1/4oz or 1/2oz weight 50 or more feet out. We trolled toward the NE and my son got into some fish (he got more bites than I) but lost them all. He tried about 12 different dodger lure combos while I used 3. I got 3 trout into the boat. We used corn, maggots, and nightcrawler with the lures. My son said I got my first trout at 1.4 mph so that is what we tried to keep it at.
Water was about 50 degrees. It was mostly sunny with wind coming up and making it difficult to troll at a consistent speed.
We had to quit around 2 because the electric motor quit responding to the remote.
