These lakes are on the military base and they are stocked with trout. They do not allow any personal boats or even float tubes on the two lakes, but they will rent you their own boats or kayaks for fishing. I have been there twice now and both times have seen the trout are abundant and very active and jumping about. But we could not figure out what to use. I was flyfishing with dry flies as well as streamers and even nymphs, while my friend was using worms and powerbait. The fish are there but they are picky.
the following report is on "Twin Lakes", the ones east of Arlington. They are on Military property. The post should go under that one NOT Gissberg Ponds...
