12/30/2016 3:39:00 PMI hate to be the bearer of bad news but I believe the is a Native Redband (I may be wrong). They became illegal to keep after 12/3/2016 that is when WDFG posted ti on the online pamphlet CORRECTIONS page. Yesterday they put out a mass email about the new rule. Along with the new rule they changed the limit. There is a thread in the NWFR forum section that explains everything. It is a great catch and probably lots of fun. Good luck to you and stay safe.

12/31/2016 12:38:00 PMYep, clearly clipped. I have caught many hatchery fish colored just like that one. As hewesbob mentioned, there is a good discussion on the forum regarding the rule change. Implementation date wasn't announced in the most "transparent" and effective manner IMO.

1/1/2017 6:53:00 PMNot a red band. We also caught 1 very similar the other day and it also had a clipped fin! Very nice fish. I believe that was a rainbow trout and not a triploid trout.

1/2/2017 7:53:00 AMI don't recall when the transition to triploid took place so there are many non-triploid fin-clipped hatchery trout still in the lake. I've caught fin-clipped trout with developed egg sacks too (pre-triploid days). :-)
