Got off work early Monday and ran here as it's about 10-15 minutes away and I just wanted to catch a few fish. Started near the launch and the small fish were everywhere! Missed a couple hits but they were small. As it was only a couple hours before dark I decided to motor down to the far corner and work my way up the north shore. I opted for reaction baits and was just going to fish fairly fast as I only had about 2.5hrs til dark.

90 minutes and no fish. Switched to a Senko and lost a small one. Fish are still busting fry balls so I broke down and went floating Rapala on em...

Caught maybe over a dozen with the largest a pound and 3/4. By mid-July these fish should start to settle into a more normal 'summer' pattern and the deeper baits should be more predictable. Right now the larger fish just need to follow fry and swim with their mouths open to get fed.

On the trout side, these things were catching some serious air all night! Not sure what the deal is but they may have been having a jumping contest? Looked like the trout version of Nitro Circus out there.
