Hit the lake around 2 pm on this sunny Sunday. About 8 trucks and trailers in the parking lot. Stuck to the southern end of the lake. Threw jerk baits, light jigs, Carolina rig, wacky, and drop shot. I think I missed a bite, that's what I'm telling myself anyway. Wind picked up and was blowing my aluminum boat all over so I headed for the launch, off the water by 5. Park hours are now 7am-7pm. Water temp was around 45. Anyone willing to lend some advice? This was probably my fifth time there this winter and been skunked every time, starting to wear me down! Thanks in advance.

Should be a few more weeks before the bass turn on. Its been the same result for me on a few different lakes the last few weeks. The good thing is Goodwin is pretty shallow overall and will warm up sooner than other larger lakes.

Start at the edge of the spawning flats and work deeper, especially if there is grass on the bottom.
