Got on the water at 8:00. There was some kind of duck diving down and eating the fish. Tried everything-spinners, spoons, salmon eggs, flys, powerbait, and finally, worms. I got one fish with a worm on the bottom at about 11:00. There were some Russians there that were fishing illegally. They each had two poles and had several hooks on each line. They were catching a lot of fish. There were four of them, that means that they could have kept a total of twenty fish. But they kept more like thirty or forty. One of them caught a steelhead. The fish wouldn't bite until it started raining.
