Arrived at the lake approx. 10:30 A.M. to find the lake covered in a HEAVY algae bloom. Decided to launch anyway and made my way down the lake covering the perimeter and center of the lake only to find the lake was completely covered and for quite a depth. Caught 1- 15" rainbow and a few other fish in the 8" range however the exercise for the day was "CLEAN THE FLY."
The wind blew briskly at times which helped break-up some of the algae in the PANHANDLE area of the lake, however not enough to eliminate the fly cleaning exercise.
This is a heads-up if your going there.
