With a rainy reprieve, from the recent cold snap, at hand I decided to give the local Walleye another shot. Evergreen has always been a place for me to try new techniques out and gage whether they might work else where.
The reservoir looked to be about 7 or 8 feet low, but not too much of a problem for my little 12' boat. The surface water temperature read about 48 degrees and the wind was picking up. then along came the rain. Still ,I managed to pick up several nice 'eyes, which I released.
I even trolled cranks a bit, hoping for a tiger musky, but only had one light strike.
Nevertheless, huddling in a small boat in the rain beats sitting at home any day.
