Took the wife and dog out for there first boat ride in the new boat to fish for some bass. Ended up with 4 really good hits but nothing in the boat water temp was 52 to 56. Then as we were getting ready to leave on of the guys on the dock said he seen a guy catch a 4 pound smallie plum full of eggs and took it home to fry it up. Look dude if you want to keep bass thats fine but not at this time of year there is not many smallies left in that lake especially that size so throw them back and let them spawn before you think about taking it home to use as a ice block in your freezer until it spoils. Anyway good luck on the lake everybody.
