bubba and i put in about 0930. this was our 'opening day', as we didn't feel like battling the thundering herd on saturday. we started out trolling our familiar patterns without any luck, so we headed to the ole 'honey hole' and pulled up to a log and still fished. it was a beautiful morning with the sun shining and not too many people on the lake. we were there to check out the canoes stability with the new 'pontoons' we added, just as much as we were to fish. as it turns out we had great sucess with both! all of the fish we caught were under 14 inches and we took home only a handful that were too damaged to release. it was a beautiful day on this pleasant little lake and we always come back to armstrong.
