Got to the lake at 2pm after checking out if the gate was open at Ludlow Lake. No luck. Does anyone know when Ludlow will be opened? SandyShores was beautiful as always with a little wind coming out of the Northwest. A couple of guys where float tubing and catching trout on the fly. I made my way thru the woods around the lake to post up at a clear spot. I tried a little bit for LMB with jigs and plastics with no luck. Still not a 100% if the lake even has an abundant population of bass. Once I got tired of searching for any bedding bass, I switched it up to trout. Using a LippRippers green speckled jig under a bobber, I had a couple strikes but nothing stuck. Great day at the lake and I definitely will be back. I recommend a float tube or boat w/ electric trolling motor for a more successful fishing experience. I was at the lake for about an 2 hours until I headed to Teal Lake for a little troutin'. (will make separate report)
