After trying the I-82 ponds with little luck. The weekends before we headed out to lake Wenas. When we arrived we found out that they were charging $1.00 per person day access, so they can repair the docks around the lake. The lake was beautiful and quite there several other people the including some friends we met, but we both came away empty handed at the end of the day. We had lots of fun. We only bank fished we used power bait, worms. and are friends used shiners small frozen fish. I think we might have had better luck from a boat, or if the weather had been warmer the weeks before. I'm sure better fishing is in the near feature as the weather warms.
