8/17/2007 9:29:00 AMThat looks like another illegal plant. Silver has been known for that. There was a Pike running around in the lake for a while and there have been reports of walleye also.

So hit silver yet again. Weather was still a little windy. Caught several smaller bass around the lake. When the wind picked up I hit some areas that are protected from the wind. One area I don't normally fish, but I am sure glad I did on this day. I was just kinda casting around waiting for the wind to die down a little bit when I thought I hit a snag. I always set the hook even if I think it is weeds. All I know is that snag had some fight to it as I pulled out a 19+ inch smallmouth! yes a smallmouth out of Silver! Never seen one before in my life in this lake and I have not talked to anyone who has. Anyone have any info on smallys in this lake? Not a bad day on the lake
