Went to Bass lake on Saturday after talking to a kid in Enumclaw....I was heading to deep lake to catch the Big guy I wrote about before (Formerly Ryan in my posts) The kid said there was a very secluded lake just off of 169 down past the krane tavern. So I decided to take a chance. I finally found this very secluded entrance that led to a boat entrance of the likes Ive never seen. It just went straight into this channel that was about 6-8 feet wide.....you cant even see the lake. I saw little bass all the way through. It finally opens to a lake that is full of lillys, milfoil, duck blinds and overhangs. I was thinking....this is It man your gonna get a 7 lber today!........then the wind hit and blew my pontoon across the pond so fast that I could have trolled for Albacore Tuna! I spent most of my time trying to recover into a good position for casting. I had 1 bite that didn't land and man....it just hasn't been a good bassin week for me. I left there with no fish again.
I think this lake has good potential to host a health bass pop. I did see lots of croppy and blue gill. Lots of fry and frogs.
Maybe ill better plan my trip next time
Ryan

Better luck next time... I always consider my first few hours lake/pond recon anyway. It always seems that have better luck once have become more familiar and comfortable with the area.
