went to klinline yesterday and today and fished for largemouth bass out of the little side pond that is in the back corner of the park. the first day i used zoom baby brush hogs and zoom 4" lizards both in either pumpkin seed or watermelon seed colors and caught 7 bass ranging from a half of a pound to 2 1/2 pounds. today i used floating rapalas in black/silver, blue/silver, hot steel, rainbow trout, black/gold colors in all different sizes and had tons of strikes and takes but only ended up with 2 fish to shore. there are lots of matted weed beds that i lost about 5 fish in because right when you hook them they run straight to the weeds.

I used to fish that little pond years ago and it was very good for bass and crappie, but anymore it fills too quickly with milfoil and other emergent vegetation which quickly limits your options. Good job on a difficult pond. Tell me more about how you were fishing, how you were rigged, and were the fish on top, or in the mats, or on the edges of the weeds.

i was using a plastic lizard rigged with a small pinch weight about a foot infront of it. i was fishing on top of the matts right through the algea that covers the top. most of the fish hit on the top.
