The Other Guy in the Boat (it is HIS boat) got a lighting kit for navigation, so we thought we'd try fishing Badger Lake in the evening--- from sunset until O dark: thirty.

Nice evening conditions to attempt the fishing feat--- clear skies, lake as flat as a table; pretty sunset followed by a moon glowing like a sugar cookie as it rose above the basalt escarpments of the lake.

But we caught NOTHING. That's right, zip; zilch; nada; bupkis. Other than a few desultory nibbles---NOTHING. And we tried everything in our fishing arsenals to tempt those finicky finned denizens to bite.

But it WAS a lovely evening... just lousy fishing.
I won't hold it against anybody or anything though; I like the lake, its surroundings, and the atmosphere.

We'll be back--- with a VENGENCE.
