Drove by Alder lake last week and the water was incredible low. I don't think you can even launch right now. If anyone lives close to it can you post an update when the water rises enough to launch. If you have never been here it is a really beautiful lake with some great fishing.

I fish the lake a lot in july and august for the silvers they plant, but didn't know the lake has crappie what part of the lake is best fished for them.

Check with Tacoma Power. They run the dam and have updates on lake levels and boat ramp usability on a recording. The report is about all Tacoma Power run dams and impoudments. Check the website for the number. DH

There is a "drowned forest" located between the park and the rocky point boat launch (on the far side of the lake from both though), My wife, Alexis, caught four realy big crappie there one afternoon a couple of years back.
