Got home from work a little early, nice evening and no chores - so I was able to get out and wet a line. Took the dog and the canoe over to Green lake. On the water from 6-8pm, the weather was great! Little wind and about 55 degrees (air temp). Started out trolling a red/silver wedding ring tipped with worm, had a bunch of hits, but only two hook ups, both stockers about 10". I switched over to a green/copper wedding ring and got nothing. Lots of fish on the top as I was rowing back to shore about sundown. Ran into kzoo while out on the water, as I was heading for shore, it looked like he was having pretty good luck out there.

I ended up with a holdover, triploid and two stockers. Let the stockers go, they're really grown since last month. Couldn't believe how well behaved your dog was Gringo! My old dog couldn't sit still.

Nice outing for you! What were you using? If the weather holds I think I will try to get out and give it another try on Friday evening. The dog does pretty good in a boat - took some work though, last season he jumped overboard once after a fish I released and another time after an otter before he figured out that once out, he has to swim to shore before getting back in. Luckily my canoe is a wide bottom, so tipping isn't as much of an issue. Speaking of, I am usually more social than I was out there. The one thing we haven't really done yet is close encounters with other boats, so I wanted to keep a safe distance so he wouldn't decide to try and come over and say hi.
