went to wilderness opening day. would have wrote a report earlier but had trouble becoming a member. well me my dad and my brother got out to the lake at about 4:30 but my dad and brother got kinda sick and bored and went in at about 5 so i went out alone. i went to the far end of the lake by the public dock and started trolling a clown colored j-9 rapala and after about 10 minutes i got a one. it fought hard on my ultra light setup but i landed it and it weighed 31.4 oz and 16.5 in i think it was a cut- bow because it looked like a rainbow but had the red marks under the gills. it was the biggest trout i have ever caught and it was still early. that was the biggest fish we caught but my dad did really good for small stockers with a shallow shad rap that was bass colored he caught his limit but only kept 4 and quit early. my brother tried just about everything i had but was only able to land one on a fire tiger shad rap. i also got a kokanee i did not know they were in there. then at about 11 30 i was feeling kind of bad because my brother had only caught one so i let him use my jointed rapala and while he was using that i put on a kokanee troll pop geer thing with a worm on it. he did not get anything but i got a 15.5 incher just in time to enter it in the derby. my big one got ninth place. i still feel pretty bad though about my brother only getting one. sorry i don't have pics of the fish
