Went to Pine today and fished from 12 to 2:30pm. The fishing was not as good as it was on sunday, but I think the weather had a little something to do with that. I caught 20 fish and lost probably 8 others. The bite was real light again today. The only difference was that the fish did not come back and hit the fly nearly as much after missing the first time. I fished with a yeager bugger again and no weight. Trolled really slow, and had constant hits just missed a lot of fish. There was a lot of fish jumping and the wind was very light, fishing was better when the wind picked up. I saw that they planted 20, 000 fish in pine a couple weeks ago, man that it a lot of fish. That lake is small and I did not know that they put so many fish in such a small lake. But it makes sense because so many people keep everything that they catch out there, and they dock always has people fishing on it. Fun time

Nice report HH and good job on the C&R -- you're ensuring the other fly guys/gals will have fish to catch later in the summer. I have found that many of the fish are now keying in on natural food sources and using a full-sink fly line or intermediate-sinking line is really key. Running floating line and then a 12' leaders with some split shots will work too, but as the season moves on, the larger fish will be caught trolling streamers deep. Good job out there! We were out at RS today (Mike Carey and myself) and it was pretty darn good with buggers. Tight Lines -- KTK
