They should be coming alive any time now with the warmer weather, if they aren't already. I catch them from a float tube by casting soft plastic grubs or whatever into the lillies or shallows. Also by slow dragging a worm under a bobber around the lake. I don't ever fish with power bait/eggs, but there def. stocker trout in here, if you look at recent reports, and that is usually their meal ticket.
Even if you are on shore, try casting out to the edge of the lilly pads and use a soft plastic.

5/20/2008 11:03:00 PMI finally found success in this place! Thanks for the comment and I'll definetly be taking your advice. I fished again this afternoon and came up big with a 14" trout! It put up a decent fight and even came up out of the water. Then I came back with my wife around 6ish and she came up with another 12" trout again with the powerbait and eggs. Maybe I'll hit the lake again tomorrow with the soft plastic. I tried with some spinner baits for about 30 mins also, but came up with nothing. Thanks for the comments!
