After fishing woodhouse ponds, I went to McCabe to relax and see if I could catch a trout or two. I used a size 8 hook, and tried an array of power eggs (orange, yellow, green). I used a decent size slip sinker so I could get my bait fairly deep. Out of probably 15 strikes, I managed to catch and release four trout, all of them stockers. The trout were not hitting hard, so it was difficult to hook them. There were a few other groups of people on the lake today. One group limited out (I believe) and another group caught four a piece like me. It was relaxing.
